Awards & Scholarship Opportunities
VAND’s Diversity Taskforce is offering a Diversity FNCE 2021 Professional Development Award. The award consist of standard registration to attend FNCE 2021
Eligibility: The following individuals are eligible to apply for the Professional Development Award: Students currently enrolled in a Didactic Program in Dietetics at the Junior/Senior level, Dietetic Internship, or a graduate program in Nutrition or Dietetics within the Commonwealth of Virginia; Entry level dietetic professionals with less than 5 years of experience. All individuals must be from an underrepresented group within the dietetics profession as defined by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. (Both AND Members and Non-Members are eligible to apply.)
Requirements: Must be a member of one of the underrepresented groups as described by the Academy as …differences in ability, age, creed, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, size, and socioeconomic characteristics in the nutrition and dietetics profession
How and when to submit application: Submit a completed application packet, electronically, to the VAND Diversity Liaison at email@example.com no later than August 20, 2021, that includes:
o Application Cover Sheet (click Word link below) & Resume/CV
*Awardees will be announced by September 1, 2021.
**Awardees will be required to attend educational sessions within the Health, Equity, Access & Opportunity track at FNCE. In addition, awardees will be required to present key best practices gained from sessions attended at FNCE.
